The CD-5 is a CD player with a high-precision transport mechanism supporting gapless playback and an integrated high-resolution D/A converter. Its mechanical chassis and audio circuitry are designed to minimize noise and intermodulation through the use of selected audio-grade components and a fully analog signal path. Operation is handled via a touchscreen interface or the supplied remote control.

The unit provides both analog and digital outputs in a balanced configuration for flexible system integration. Compatibility with the optional PSU-10 EVO external power supply allows further improvement in power stability and dynamic performance.
