AudioQuest's Mythical Horses, Black Beauty and Pegasus, bring the proven advantages of ZERO-Tech to a much wider audience.
Most of the delightfully obvious sonic advantages of ZERO-Tech and the other refinements that enable the Mythical Creatures (ThunderBird, FireBird, and Dragon) are just as obvious when listening through the Mythical Horses.
To keep the very complicated construction flexible, the upper Mythicals have two or three externally visible separate constructions. While also necessarily complex, Black Beauty and Pegasus package all that ZERO-Tech goodness in single round cables (smaller for the 2-conductor RCA versions, a bit larger for the 3-conductor XLR versions).
Like Black Beauty, Pegasus features Direction-Controlled Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) conductors, Carbon/Graphene Mesh-Network, Copper-Plated Plug Casings, and Hanging-Silver over Red-Copper plugs. In addition, to further reduce distortion and dissipate radio-frequency noise, Pegasus increases the silver content of its RF Drain-Wires from 0.5% to 6%.
As with the Mythical Creatures, the RCA version of Pegasus uses a single 72v DBS pack, and, in order to maintain the integrity of the ZERO-Tech system, a Dual-DBS pack (2x 72v in a single case) is used with the XLR version.
ZERO-Tech (No Characteristic Impedance) for Linear, Wide-Bandwidth Noise-Dissipation
The only way to avoid characteristic-impedance mismatch-effects between a  cable and its attached source and load circuits is to prevent the cable  from having a characteristic-impedance. ZERO-Tech succeeds by  eliminating the electrostatic field between the cable’s high and low  signal conductors, enabling linear (consistent octave to octave)  Radio-Frequency (RF) Noise-Dissipation, and uncompressed transients. In  order to preserve ZERO-Tech’s complete isolation between signal  conductors, a Dual-72v DBS pack is included for XLR cables.
Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) Conductors
Solid conductors prevent electrical and magnetic strand-interaction.  PSC+ Solid-Copper minimizes distortion caused by grain boundaries and  maximizes linear RF Noise-Dissipation.
Polypropylene Air-Tubes
Any solid material  adjacent to a conductor is actually part of an imperfect circuit and  will absorb energy, some of which is stored and then released as  distortion. For designs that require minimal diameter, AudioQuest uses  Polypropylene Air-Tube Insulation. Because air absorbs next to no energy  and Polypropylene is low-loss and has a benign distortion profile,  Polypropylene Air-Tube Insulation, with its high air content, causes  much less of the out-of-focus effect common to other materials.
Level 6 Noise-Dissipation (Interconnects): ZERO-Tech + 72v DBS + Carbon/Graphene Mesh-Network + Direction-Controlled
Radio-Frequency  Noise from cellular, WiFi, and satellites is everywhere. AQ’s Level 6  Linear Noise-Dissipation includes a carbon & graphene resistive  mesh-network, direction-controlled conductors, 72v DBS, and  Silver-Plated drain wires, significantly minimizing RF Noise masking  effects.

Direction-Controlled  Silver-Plated RF Drain-Wires further ensure the proper and efficient  dissipation of induced radio-frequency noise for clearer, more natural  sound.
Copper-Plated RF-Draining Barrels
Grounded Copper-Plated Barrels maximize Noise-Dissipation by preventing a  metal barrel from capacitively coupling RF to the conductors.
Hanging-Silver over Red-Copper Plugs
