The Vertere SOLO moving coil cartridge uses an aluminium alloy body with a four-point fixing system intended to improve mechanical stability and control vibration. The cartridge features a low-mass moving coil generator matched to a telescopic aluminium cantilever and a Shibata III nude diamond stylus. The design focuses on accurate tracking of lateral groove modulations while minimising vertical signal components.

The generator is engineered for mono signal retrieval, aiming to reduce distortion and noise while maintaining resolution and channel balance. The cartridge has a stated output of 0.4mV, a frequency response of 10Hz to 45kHz, and a recommended tracking force of 2.15g. Construction includes a samarium-cobalt magnet system and Vertere’s tri-point headshell mounting and quad-point generator support structure.
