The Eversolo DMP-A8 Gen 2 combines an AK4191EQ digital processor with the flagship AK4499EX DAC in a separated digital-processing and conversion architecture, supporting native DSD512 and PCM up to 768kHz/32-bit. Its fully balanced analog preamplifier provides up to +10dB gain, while a precision R-2R resistor-ladder volume control performs attenuation in the analog domain, preserving resolution and dynamic range across the volume range. Published performance reaches 0.000075% THD+N with SNR and DNR up to 129dB.

Digital and analog power sections are independently supplied, with a dedicated low-noise linear supply for the analog circuitry specified at only 20μV noise. Dual ultra-low phase-noise clocks control digital timing, while the upgraded Eversolo AuralEngine handles USB audio processing and data scheduling. The platform also incorporates 20-band PEQ, FIR filter import, loudness control and dynamic-range processing, allowing precise system and room optimization without external DSP hardware.

A new 64-bit octa-core processor, 8GB DDR5 memory and 64GB internal storage provide the processing headroom for large libraries and streaming services, while an internal M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 slot supports SSD capacities up to 8TB. Connectivity includes USB Audio, optical, coaxial, AES/EBU, HDMI ARC, balanced XLR and RCA analog I/O, dedicated subwoofer output, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6 and SFP optical networking for electrically isolated network integration.
